OUR STORY

Nestled in the heart of Aberdeenshire near Banchory, Burn O’Bennie Distillery was founded in 2019 with a bold mission: to rethink whisky from the ground up. From day one, the team has embraced innovation and sustainability, using a highly concentrated wash nearly twice the usual strength — cutting water, heat, and energy consumption while creating a spirit rich in character from the very first drop.

Our carefully crafted mash-bills, combining pale, crystal, and chocolate malts, give the new-make spirit depth, texture, and complexity that sets it apart. But Burn O’Bennie is more than technique — it’s a hub of creativity and collaboration, from working with breweries on beer-driven experiments to supporting local environmental initiatives like the River Dee Trust.

At Burn O’Bennie, tradition meets forward-thinking design: each drop of whisky is born with density and flavour, made with respect for place, process, and planet — a craft spirit for those who value both innovation and authenticity.
