At Burnobennie, we don’t believe 80% of the flavour should come from the cask, and we don’t think that’s something to be proud of. 

While others rely heavily on wood to define their whisky, we focus on what goes into the spirit itself. Our brewing-led approach starts with flavour-rich mash bills, using specialty malts more common in craft brewing than traditional distilling.

The result? A complex, characterful young spirit that stands on its own and is elevated by the cask, not overshadowed by it.
